The e-commerce industry has seen steady growth over the past decade, culminating in a significant boom in the 2010s, driven by the rapid evolution of smartphones. As major players optimized every aspect of the experience within a 5-inch screen, consumers quickly realized that convenience was literally at their fingertips. This transformation revolutionized the shopping experience, leading to a corresponding shift in user behavior.

CIMB Onboard is a CRM (customer relationship management) hybrid app specific for RM’s (Relationship Manager) tablet devices. By digitising the as-is BAU process, RM will experience little to none paperworks involved, hasten the process, and reduce carbon footprints for RM’s lead management. This project involves simplifying the complex, legacy, enterprise-issued backend systems into one unified hybrid app adaptable across the various onboarding instruments.

I was the former Visual Designer at Comfort Works Australia for three years before being promoted to UI/UX Designer. As the pioneer of the design team in the company I was given the flexibility and feasibility to explore and experiment projects. When I got promoted as the UI/UX Designer at Comfort Works, I was given the responsibility for customers’ experience throughout the site.

I wanted to challenge and enhance user experiences by elevating it to feel more human. Emails, often text-heavy and uninspiring, tend to dominate the above-the-fold space—the most valuable real estate. While visually driven emails can appear spammy, leading to low click-through and open rates, they also raise concerns about load times, especially if images are too large. How do we balance these challenges? Designing emails that look great on desktop but remain functional and appealing on mobile is a constant challenge.

Zippy App is a conceptual superapp I did for fun over one weekend. It’s just one of those time when you ponder upon the advancement we humans have come to:

“Oh crap, I locked myself out of my own house.” — Service Provider App

“Ah i left my cards at home how do I cash out now?” — Financial App

“I’m too wrapped up this weekend, how do I get groceries?” — Groceries App

First world problems, yes. There’s app for everything. But then everyone ends up having 5-6 pages of apps in their phone. But what if there’s a single app that does all the above?

Diversity at Comfort Works shapes the company into what it is today. With such a variety of backgrounds, agreeing on favorite foods can be a challenge! Each food illustration was carefully consulted with individuals representing their respective countries before being finalized. Comfort Works’ products cater significantly to IKEA customers, with nearly 60% designed for IKEA furniture—hence the depiction of the IKEA man. This t-shirt design won a company competition and was produced for our company retreat. Can you guess which food represents each country?

The Story of Nasi Lemak won an Honourable Mention in a publication competition. It’s meant to showcase the oneness identity of Malaysia in form of food while retaining the authenticity of the actual Nasi Lemak; its newspaper usage for packaging and the pyramid-shaped form for full experience.

Corporate Identity

A brand is the face, the aesthetic, and the first impression. It communicates silently, yet powerfully, to everyone it reaches. While it doesn’t use words, it defines identity—and if it sends the wrong message, the impact can be lasting.

I am particularly proud of the selected works highlighted above, which encompass the entire process from ideation and sketching to execution. The time and effort invested in these projects have been immensely rewarding. Especially seeing it adopted in various mediums.
